Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN)

The Mimi Washington Starrett Foundation is proud to partner with the Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN) of Morris County. IFPN employs innovative approaches to hunger and food insecurity that improve the overall health and well-being of individuals and families in Morris County by providing equitable access to nutritious food, education, and related resources. They are the largest and most relied upon resource for emergency and supplemental food among Morris County residents in need. They also provide hands-on opportunities for neighbors to help neighbors and to educate the public about the issues of hunger in our area.

Morris Habitat for Humanity (MHfH)

Mimi Washington Starrett Foundation is proud to partner with Morris Habitat for Humanity (MHfH), a nonprofit organization and an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. MHfH has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views, or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. Through this volunteer labor, both skilled and unskilled, and donations of money and materials, MHfH builds and rehabilitates houses in partnership with families in need. Habitat houses are affordable because there is no profit included in the sale price and no interest is charged on the mortgage. MHfH brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope and envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Cornerstone Family Programs

The Mimi Washington Starrett Foundation is proud to partner with Cornerstone Family Programs whose mission is to Strengthen Communities by Helping People Build Better Lives. This long-standing organization encompasses many programs that provide resources to people from age 2 to 102 in the Greater Morris County community. They believe that everyone deserves a chance for a happy, healthy, and productive life. Through age-appropriate resources, children in the preschool, before school, after school, summer camp and teen programs are safe, healthy, and happy at their second home at Morristown Neighborhood House. Their full day Adult Day Center offers comprehensive, affordable services that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of seniors and their caregivers. To assist working families and caregivers, they open their doors early, stay late, and provide round trip transportation. Cornerstone Family Programs also offers the only program in NJ for female veterans by female veterans, designed to improve the health and well-being of our female service members through outreach and advocacy, Operation Sisterhood. We are fortunate to have Cornerstone Family Programs so invested in helping our families, friends and neighbors in Morris County build better lives every day.

County College of Morris Foundation

As an institutionally related foundation, the County College of Morris Foundation raises funds to support the college in its mission. CCM Foundation is committed to excellence in teaching and lifelong learning through the delivery of exceptional programs and services to our students and to the larger community that reflect a dedication to inclusiveness and diversity, educational advancement, cultural enrichment, and workforce development. One such program that addresses equity in education is the College Promise Program. This program is designed to provide academic and life skills support to motivated middle and high school students in underserved populations with the opportunity to secure a pathway to college by offering workshops, mentoring and support services, and scholarship money should they decide to attend CCM.

Mendham Borough Library

MWS Foundation is a proud partner of Mendham Borough Library, whose mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where people can access information, engage in learning, and connect with others. They envision a space to foster a love of reading, promote lifelong learning, and strengthen the community. With a commitment to these goals, the library is a hub of activity, from story time for toddlers to book clubs for adults. Whether you’re looking to check out the latest bestseller or attend a community event, the Mendham Borough Library has something for everyone!

JBWS

JBWS provides support, advocacy, and education for victims of domestic violence. Founded in 1976, JBWS has been dedicated to helping survivors of domestic abuse rebuild their lives and find safety and empowerment. Their services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and community education programs. JBWS’s mission is to promote prevention and intervention efforts to break the cycle of domestic violence and empower survivors to live a life free of abuse. They are now offering a dating abuse prevention program aimed at educating young people about the warning signs of abuse, and ways to seek help if needed. JBWS has helped thousands of individuals and families affected by domestic violence and continue to work towards creating a safer and healthier community.

Good Grief

Good Grief is a nonprofit organization that provides support to children, teens and young adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Based in Morristown and Princeton, NJ, their mission is to create a community that understands and supports grieving children and their families, centering their work around empathy, respect, inclusivity, and hope. Good Grief offers free programs to families, schools, and the community, addressing the needs of the whole child, breaking down isolation and stigmas, equipping families with coping strategies and communication skills, and promoting good mental and physical health. Good Grief has established strong and supportive relationships with families, peer organizations and the community at large to empower individuals to find hope and healing in the midst of their pain.

Homeless Solutions

Homeless Solutions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in New Jersey overcome homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency. The organization's mission is to offer shelter, services, and supportive housing to people experiencing homelessness, empowering them to rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and independence. Homeless Solutions strives to create a community where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. By focusing on providing a holistic approach to addressing homelessness, including not only housing but also job training, counseling, and other supportive services, Homeless Solutions provides a hand up, not a handout. Their dedication to the Morris County community is evident in the positive impact they have had on countless individuals and families over the years.

nourish.NJ

nourish.NJ is an organization driven by a powerful mission to combat food insecurity and provide comprehensive support to individuals and families in New Jersey. With a holistic approach, they offer a wide range of program outreach services that address various aspects of people's lives. nourish.NJ's outreach initiatives include mobile food distribution, ensuring that nutritious meals and supplies reach underserved communities directly. They also assist individuals in accessing government benefits, such as SNAP, and connect them with essential social services. Recognizing the importance of housing stability, nourish.NJ works diligently to secure safe and affordable housing for those in need. Additionally, they prioritize mental health by providing diagnosis, treatment referrals, and medication assistance. Their commitment extends to employment support, helping individuals with job applications, interview practice, and work-related expenses. nourish.NJ's general case management services encompass essential areas like benefits applications, medical coordination, household essentials, childcare, transportation, and utility bill assistance. By addressing these fundamental needs, nourish.NJ strives to empower individuals and create lasting positive change in their lives.

Market Street Mission

The Market Street Mission is dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and other challenges. With a strong commitment to providing holistic care, their mission is to offer hope, healing, and restoration to those in need and to see lives and communities transformed through their work. The Market Street Mission strives to create an environment where individuals can rebuild their lives, receive support, and regain their dignity. Through their programs, including shelter, meals, addiction recovery services, and job training, they work towards breaking the cycle of homelessness and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

Alzheimer's New Jersey

Alzheimer's New Jersey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Their mission is to support and empower individuals and families impacted by these diseases through comprehensive programs and services. They strive to enhance the quality of life for those affected and promote understanding and awareness within the community. With a vision for a world without Alzheimer's disease, Alzheimer's New Jersey aims to promote early detection, advance research, and ultimately find a cure for this debilitating condition.
